Hey there, Big Man...I'm sorry if I'm running just a BIT late yet again; you might say that the CATS have gotten my tongue! I am sure you will be pleased to know that we have found happy homes for both Sweet Bella and Awesome Elvis; they have clearly missed you so very much, as do we all... I could never possibly conjure adequate words to express how much you have always meant, and will always mean, to me, but

It is with great sorrow that I learned of Chuck's passing today. He and Gail brightened my life for years by entrusting me with the care of their beloved cats. I am consoled by the thought that they are together again (and undoubtedly had some feline friends waiting for them). My heartfelt condolences to family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Blacklock family during this difficult time.

Chuck, you will be greatly missed by a lot of people. I feel blessed to have had the privilege of being friends with you and Gail. We shared a lot of laughs. You and Gail were such a warm, friendly couple and your kindness and friendship will be greatly missed. Miss you both.

Words alone can not express my feelings for this wonderful kind gentle (giant) of a man. He, and Gail, treated me like family. I will forever remember his smile, his love of music, and his stories. I am forunate to have known him, and glad I had a chance to visit with him while he was alone recently. I only wish I could have visited more. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Although I enjoyed my relationship with my brother-in-law Chuck while he and Gail were married, it wasn't until he was alone that I really came to know him.

In reaching out to him in his days without Gail, I got to know a different side of the man. And what I got to know I really came to love.

I loved hearing about the football coach who taught him how to play defense--knock down everything in sight.

He told me about when he

I remember the fun times sitting around the dinner table, my first Christmas Eve mass at the church, helping out at the scottish games....thank you Fr. Blacklock for always making me feel like being part of the family.

The following is the [tell us about] "YOU Essay" from an application for a USC Fellowship that I finished sending out Wednesday before driving up to be with Dad. He is why I am who I am.

My Samoan ditch digging dad took us 3 kids to see Fiddler on the Roof; Tevye was that big funny guy who shot pool downtown at Dad's divinity school. Tevye's voice boomed the theater to attention; we sat awe-hooked. Then the streets erupted. Riots
