Concetta "Connie" LaViolette, 82, of Schenectady passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Schenectady, Connie was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Ada (Mastrongoli) Simboli.

Educated at Mont Pleasant High School, Connie worked as a nursing technician at St. Clare's Hospital for over 30 years before her retirement.

Connie was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church and a former member of Immaculate Conception Church. There she was a member of the church choir, both churches' Rosary Societies, and a Eucharistic minister. Connie was a girl scout and cub scout leader and a committee person for the Schenectady County Conservative Party.

Connie was predeceased in 2010 by her husband of 57 years, Robert A. LaViolette whom she married on September 21, 1952. She was also predeceased in 2006 by one son, Dennis LaViolette.

Connie leaves behind her children, Mark E. LaViolette (Barbara) of Scotia, Doreen Ann Gray (Adrian) of New Milford, CT and Kathleen Ann Powell (John) of Pepperell, MA. She is also survived by her sister Elisa (Betty) Burke of Latham, as well as 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held on Monday morning, January 5 at 8:45am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, followed at 9:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation will take place on Sunday evening, January 4, from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
