Love Emblem

Helen H. Duglin, 74, died Monday morning September 22, 2014 at her home in Rotterdam.

Born and educated in Middleburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Mayer.

A bookkeeper for more then 44 years for Uptown-Savemore Beverage in Rotterdam, Helen was a former member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. An avid bowler, she bowled at Towne Bowling Alley for over 45 years. Helen was an amazing cook and loved gardening.

Predeceased in 1996 by her husband of 36 years, Alfred Duglin, Helen was the devoted mother and grandmother of her children, Susan Conger (James Jewett) of Latham and Scott Duglin (Nancy) of Schenectady, her grandchildren; Kimberly and Christopher Conger and Daniella and Ryan Duglin. She is also survived by her brother William Mayer of Florida and sisters, Carol Mayer of Clifton Park and Mary Wood of Middleburgh as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Helen will be Thursday, September 25 at 1pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening, September 24 from 7-9pm at the funeral home. Interment in Memory's Garden in Colonie, NY.
