John A. Fisler, 59, passed away Saturday October 11th at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, John was the son of the late John and Jean (Moore) Fisler Jr. and a 1972 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. A former employee of the General Electric Company, John was a former co-captain of his Mont Pleasant Wrestling Team and an avid Stock Car Racing Fan and a fixture at Fonda Race Track. A honorary member of the 12A Pit Crew, John was a huge Jack Johnson and Ronny Johnson Fan. A Tony Stewart and Kyle Larson NASCAR Fan, he also enjoyed the New York Jets and was a member of several radio controlled car clubs.

John is survived by his beloved sister, Carol A. Fisler and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning October 16th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be Wednesday evening October 15th from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment in Memory's Garden in Colonie, NY.

Contributions may be made in John's memory to either the American Cancer Society or to Community Hospice.
