Michael J. Dunn, 71, of Rotterdam passed away early Monday, September 29, 2014 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Troy, NY, Michael was the son of the late Thomas and Virginia (Durnin) Dunn.

Michael honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a winder at the General Electric Company for many years. Michael was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting.

Michael was predeceased by his wife, Diane C. (Attendorn) Dunn in 2006. He is also predeceased by his brother, Frank Dunn.

Michael leaves behind his daughters, Michele Anzalone of Schenectady and Melissa Dunn of Rotterdam, as well as his brother, Joseph Dunn of Schenectady, sisters, Noreen Caprara of Florida and Cathy Dunn. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Arielle Anzalone, Amanda Anzalone, Ashley Anzalone, Selina Dunn and John Brunette, one great grandchild, Levi Hadcox and his dear friend, Kiernan "Jack" Corcoran.

Funeral services for Michael will be Thursday, October 2 at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, with a calling hour from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
