Raymond J. Vine, 51, of Rotterdam passed away at his home on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

Born in Gloversville, Raymond was the son of Elinore (Starin) Vine and the late Raymond W. Vine.

Raymond was a graduate of Draper High School and worked as a calculation clerk for the New York State Department of Transportation over 20 years until his retirement.

An avid racing fan, Raymond enjoyed Nascar and was a former stock car owner of #95 which won the track championship at Fonda.
Raymond was a big football fan, ever devoted to his New York Jets.

Raymond is predeceased by his father, Raymond W. Vine.

He is survived by his mother, Elinore (Starin) Vine, his son, Brandon J. Vine of Rotterdam, brother, John W. Vine of Rotterdam and sister, Susan Vine (Kevin Ratta) of Glenville. He is also survived by his nephews (colleagues), Dalton MacDormand Vine and Nathan Ratta Vine, both of Glenville, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 26 at 1pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, with a visitation from 11-1pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.

Raymond's family would like to thank Lisa King and David Lupi for their care, friendship and compassion over the years and they would also like to thank Raymond's neighbors and friend from the street for their ever watchful eye.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's memory can be made to the Sunnyview Wellness Center, 270 Belmont Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12308.
