Vincent W. Mulyca, 80, of Rotterdam, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Schenectady, Vincent was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Rempusheski) Mulyca.

Vince attended Draper school and as a teen participated in roller skating and dance competitions. He was a US army and Air force veteran.

Vince helped his family in the building of Maple Ski Ridge, doing much of the electrical work and rope splicing. At the same time, raising a young family and starting his careers as a Tractor Trailer driver. He was a proud member of the teamsters union. He built both of his homes and after retirement helped his son build his home. Never a person to be idle, he also designed and built a train that he enjoyed giving rides on while people fished in his beautiful pond.
Vince was an outgoing person who enjoyed talking to strangers and made new friends easily. He was always there to lend a hand to his family and friends. He was the president of DL&SM.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Barbara (Majewski) Mulyca, whom he married on November 14, 1981. He also leaves behind his children, Katherine Michener (Mark Peek) of Rotterdam, Joseph Mulyca (Amy) of Caroga Lake and Karen Doyle of Rotterdam, as well as his brothers, George Mulyca and David Mulyca (Marlies), both of Rotterdam, his sister, Cindy Perillo (Steve) of New Hampshire, sister-in-law, Joan Orzolek of Charlton, his former spouse and dear friend, Patricia O'Clair of Scotia, along with 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his K9 companion, Ranger.

Visitation will held on Sunday, February 22 from 5-8pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. A prayer service will be Monday, February 23 at 10am at the funeral home followed at 11am at St. Stanislaus Church, 52 Cornell St., Amsterdam where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent's name can be made to a charity of one's choice.
