Patriotic Emblem

Arthur C. Durocher, 82, of Rotterdam passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Cohoes, Arthur was the son of the late Eugene and Irene (Peltier) Durocher.

Arthur honorably served his country in both the US Army and Marine Corps.

Working for Borden's Dairy for 30 years in milk delivery, Arthur later worked for 7 years for the North Colonie School District as a school bus driver.

Arthur was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. An avid NY Yankees fan, he enjoyed camping on Lake Champlain and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Arthur is predeceased by his siblings, Eugene Durocher, Jack Durocher and wife Eileen, Bertha Durocher, Irene Cooper and husband Oscar, Midge Charbonneau, and Barbara Gibbs and her husband Don.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 59 years, Agnes C. (Hesler) Durocher as well as his children, Robert Durocher (Pamela) of Rotterdam, James Durocher of Scotia, Patrick Durocher (Catie) of Boca Raton, FL, Frederick Durocher (Kelly) of Schenectady, Mary Hooshmand (late Nader) of Boca Raton, FL, Kathleen Derochie of Schenectady, Dorothy Clemente of Clifton Park, Jean Crutchfield (Kevin) of Boscawen, NH, Anne Adams of Scotia and Joan Rumfelt (Charles) of Scotia. He also leaves behind one sister, Florence Guild (Charles) of Clifton Park, sister-in-law Helen Durocher of Waterford, 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, on Friday, February 13 at 9:15am followed at 10am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Arthur's name can be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church or to the City Mission, 425 Hamilton Street, Schenectady, NY 12305.
