Patriotic Emblem

Carl Hoffman, 59, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.

Carl worked as a mason for many years. He was a free spirit who liked to move around. He lived in Texas, Colorado, Nevada and California before returning to Schenectady. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including skiing, deep sea diving, motorcycle riding, camping, fishing, sailing and going to the Saratoga Race Track. He had a fondness for animals, especially Puppers.

He is predeceased by his father Edwin Hoffman. He is survived by his mother Leona Hoffman, daughter Rebecca (Jonathan) Garcia, brother Gary (Dawn) Hoffman, sisters Joyce (Jim) Elia, Linda Hoffman, and Diane Rouse. Also survived by several nieces and nephews: Erica (Bruce) Barringer, Jason and Nicole Hoffman, and Tyler and Caitlin Rouse.

The family will have a private celebration of Carl's life in the future.
