Frederick E. Slurff Sr., 54, of Rotterdam died Saturday February 4, 2012 at home. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Edward F. Slurff and Dorothy ( Kral) Slurff of Schenectady. He was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College. Frederick served in the Marines. He was a manager for 29 years for Exon Mobil Company. Frederick loved NASCAR, Fonda Speedway, the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He also loved his Cat-Goldie. Frederick will be deeply missed by all. Besides his father he is predeceased by one brother Frank Slurff and one sister Donna Ciadella. He is survived by his loving wife Heidi ( Primett) Slurff whom he married September 21, 1985, one son Frederick E. Slurff Jr. of Rotterdam, one daughter Andrea L. Slurff of Rotterdam, one brother Martin Slurff of Schenectady, also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous members of the Primett and Slurff families. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 2PM at the Second Reformed Church 118 Putnam Road in Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Wednesday 12-2PM at the Church. Spring Internment will be in Viewland Cemetery. Contributions can be made in his memory to the Second Reformed Church of Rotterdam.
