Richard J. DeMott 50 died early Thursday morning February 9th at St Peter's Hospice Inn, Albany, NY. Born in Niskayuna, Richard is the son of Grace (Wagoner) DeMott of Pattersonville and the late Robert DeMott. A 1979 graduate of Schalmont High School, Richard worked for the New York State Thruway Authority for the past 31 years and was a traffic supervisor at the time of his passing. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and Key West, Florida. Beside his mother Grace, Richard is survived by his sisters, Nancy DeMott of Albany, Debbie Bonneville (Frederick) of Latham and Sandy DeMott of Pattersonville and nephews Mark Bonneville (Gen) and Kevin Bonneville . Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon February 11, 2012 at 1pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY with a visitation at the funeral home from 11am to 1 pm prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osbourne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 in his memory.
